The Autobild Summer tyre test 2021 in the 205/55 R16 dimension had rated the Kumho Ecsta HS51 as the best tyre out of 20, with exemplary results. The same test saw the tyre score the worst in the 2017 225/50 R17 dimension, where it was not recommended. The tyre won no tests, but in some disciplines, such as aquaplaning-cross and aquaplaning-longitudinal, it was the best.
