Nokian Line is ranked #40 of 943 summer tyres based on the results of tests carried out by Autobild 2018, Autobild 2018, and other organizations. Nokian Line belongs to the Upper-middle segment and is made by a manufacturer from Finland. It is made in total of 53 sizes, 175/65 R14 being the smallest and 225/50 R17 the largest. This tyre was featured in tests 6 times, first test was carried in 2016. Eu ratings can provide interesting overview over the available dimensions - 100% of Nokian Line has "A" wet grip rating and most (100%) of the dimensions has "C" fuel-saving rating. Noise is a strong quality of Nokian Line - most dimensions have below average noise level values - 98% of them produce 0db noise, which result in "a" rating. It can be compared to RainSport 3, which is a tyre from Uniroyal (USA) and has a rating of 56%, compared to 40% of the Nokian in question. There was a braking test that featured both UniroyalRainSport 3 and Nokian Line held by autobild in 2016. On the wet, the Uniroyal stopped from 80km/h earlier than the Nokian - 28,7m, whereas the Nokian took 29,1m to come to a full stop. We can see the same story on the dry, where the Uniroyal stopped earlier at the 35,9m mark, compared to 37,9m of the Nokian.
The Nokian Line, a middle segment tyre, has been tested by some of Europe's most respected tyre testing organizations in recent years. The tests were conducted between 2016 and 2018, using varying dimensions and summer periods. The Nokian Line achieved an overall rating of 76%, which is not satisfactory for a tyre of its segment. The tyre was positioned 14th out of 51 in the braking distance test conducted by Autobild in 2018, and 17th out of 20 by the same organization in their summer tyre test of the same year in the same dimension. In 2017, the tyre was placed 7th out of 16 by ADAC in their summer tyre test in another dimension, while in 2016, it was ranked 6th out of 16 by the same organization in yet another dimension. The Nokian Line did not receive any rating in the Autobild summer tyre test of 2016 in the 205/55 R16 dimension. Despite these average results, the Nokian Line had good ratings in some of the disciplines tested, although it did not win any of the tests.
