The Semperit Speed-Life 2, a low-cost segment tyre, has been tested by several esteemed organizations across Europe. The tests, conducted between 2016 and 2020, measured the tyre's performance on various parameters such as braking distance, rolling resistance, and overall performance. The tyre's overall rating, based on the results of these tests, is an impressive 80%, which is exceptionally good for a low-cost segment tyre. While the tyre's test result positions varied across the different tests, it managed to secure the 3rd spot out of 50 tyres in Autobild's 2016 braking distance test for the dimension 205/55 R16, proving its mettle in this specific discipline. Conversely, the tyre fared relatively poorly in ACE's 2018 Summer tyre test for the dimension 235/45 R18, securing the 10th place out of 11 tyres. However, what stands out is that the Semperit Speed-Life 2 was recommended by ACE for its rolling resistance, the only discipline where it emerged as the best-performing tyre. Additionally, the Semperit Speed-Life 2 secured a satisfactory rating in ADAC's 2016 Summer tyre test for the dimension 225/45 R17, and a good rating in ADAC's 2018 Summer tyre test for the dimension 205/55 R16. None of the tests showed exceptional weaknesses in the tyre's performance, making it a reliable option for budget-conscious buyers.
