The Firestone Multiseason 2 and the GoodYear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 are two well-regarded tyres manufactured by Firestone and GoodYear respectively. Both models bring considerable strengths to the table, but also bear distinctive weaknesses.

The Firestone Multiseason 2, produced in Italy, is a winter type tyre coded at 67% in our ratings. In mutual test positions from Autobild and Autoklub ČR, it placed 6th, indicating a commendable performance. It showed excellent grip in all snow tests and a positive rolling resistance but faltered a bit in dry braking and comfort. The tyre also presented extended dry braking and slightly below average comfort in the Autobild 2018 test. Nevertheless, it's praised for its very good wet handling lap and low rolling resistance.

On the other hand, the GoodYear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3, a successor of the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-2 and Goodyear Vector 4Seasons, is an allround type tyre. Manufactured in Slovenia and France, garnered an impressive 92% in our ratings. Consistently outperforming the Firestone tyre in mutual tests, the Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 achieved a 4th place from Autobild, and 3rd from Autoklub ČR. Tests highlight its strong points such as excellent dry and wet handling, high comfort levels, low rolling resistance, and efficient snow performance. However, it has been flagged for standard dry braking.

Summarily, both tyres present their unique strengths and weaknesses. The Firestone Multiseason 2 stands out with its excellent grip in snow conditions and low rolling resistance but needs improvement in dry braking and comfort levels. The Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 impresses with its dry and wet handling, comfort, and snow performance, but could improve in dry braking. With respect to overall test positions, the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 outperforms the Firestone Multiseason 2. Therefore, the Goodyear tyre might be the better choice for those prioritizing performance across a variety of conditions.
