Continental UltraContact NXT

Summer
Premium
9.9 /10 Recommended

The UltraContact NXT is Continental's newest summer model, launched in 2024 with no predecessor — and it's already won both tests it entered. Wet performance is the standout, with short braking distances and confident handling on wet asphalt. Dry is precise too, though the dry braking slightly trails its wet capabilities. Comfort and noise levels are high, which makes it very pleasant for everyday use. Only 23 sizes are available so far, so check if yours is covered before getting too excited.

Pros & Cons

Strengths

Remarkably balanced overall performance provides exceptional stability and safety on a wide range of surfaces and weather conditions.

Outstanding handling and steering precision ensure agile driving dynamics, delivering excellent performance on both wet and dry roads.

Superior braking performance—evident in notably short stopping distances under wet conditions—enhances overall driving safety.

Weaknesses

The tire’s rolling resistance is only average, which may compromise efficiency despite its otherwise high-performance attributes.
