The Continental PremiumContact 6 and the Pirelli P7 Cinturato Blue are both compelling summer tyres produced by leading global manufacturers Continental and Pirelli. Both, while having their unique strengths and weaknesses, have proven themselves in practical tests, offering dependable performance and safety.

Looking at the Continental PremiumContact 6, it stands out for its outstanding dry steering response, alongside impressive performance under wet conditions, such as wet braking, wet circle cornering, and wet handling - objective. These features elevate its wet safety levels, making it an ideal choice for rainy summer conditions. This tyre boasts an overall rating of 83%, based on our evaluations and is known for its superior performance which has seen its rank 1st among 20 tyres in the Autozeitung test and also top spot in the Autobild test which included a broad range of 52 tyres. This tyre was made in Slovakia, Germany, and the Czech Republic, indicating a strong European pedigree. Its predecessor was the Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 and it has been succeeded by the Continental PremiumContact 7.

On the other hand, the Pirelli P7 Cinturato Blue does not fall much short. It gives an excellent dry steering response similar to its counterpart and also excels in comfort and lowering rolling resistance. These features alone guarantee a smooth and fuel-efficient ride. Despite some impressive features, however, this tyre was ranked 13th out of 20 tyres in the Autozeitung test and 4th in the Autobild test which included 52 tyres. Unlike the Continental PremiumContact 6, the Pirelli P7 Cinturato Blue does not have a successor and it does not replace any previous model either.

To summarize, while both tyres perform well in dry conditions, the Continental PremiumContact 6 has a significant advantage in wet conditions. Comfort and rolling resistance are strengths of the Pirelli P7 Cinturato Blue, however, overall, the Continental PremiumContact 6 holds the upper-hand in most test results, making it the more reliable option for a broader range of conditions.
