Today we are pitting two summer tyres against each other for comparison; the Dunlop Sport BluResponse and the Sava Intensa HP. Manufactured by two giants of the tyre industry, Dunlop and Sava respectively, these tyres have both seen action in numerous tests and come highly rated in our reviews.
Starting with the Dunlop Sport BluResponse, this tyre boasts an impressive rating of 71% based on our extensive reviews and assessments. Dunlop, a renowned tyre manufacturer, places great emphasis on safety and performance under wet conditions. In our own tests, the Sport BluResponse demonstrated exceptional wet braking capabilities and safety features, nabbing it a well-deserved 3rd place in our ADAC test results among 16 tyres. Its performance also stood firm during the Autobild test, where it claimed the 8th place despite the larger competition pool of 51 tyres.
On the other hand, we have the Sava Intensa HP. Unlike its competitor, this model did not score any points in our rating system. However, this does not necessarily spell doom for the Intensa HP. In the ADAC test results, it held its own against 16 tyres to secure an 8th place finish. The nature of the tyres' strengths was not specified in the ADAC tests but during the Autobild tests, it was ranked 26th among 51 tyres.
Worth noting is that the Sava Intensa HP has been subsequently replaced by the Sava Intensa HP2, as is often the case with tyre models. The new and improved version promises enhanced features and performance over its predecessor.
Conclusion: If we analyze the test results and our rating system, the Dunlop Sport BluResponse is the clear winner here, boasting both higher test rankings and an impressive rating of 71%. Its performance under wet conditions is undeniably superior, based on our safety and wet braking tests. However, the Sava Intensa HP also holds its ground despite its zero rating, displaying commendable test results. Its successor, the Sava Intensa HP2, also presents an opportunity for an even better performance, indicating promising potential for the Intensa line.
