The Falken Azenis FK510, made in Japan and Turkey, is widely lauded for its comfort, exterior noise levels and price-to-value ratio. According to tests at AutoBild where it ranked 3rd out of 52 tyres, notable features include its rolling resistance and grip in wet and dry conditions. However, it exhibits deficits in aquaplaning and brake balance in dry conditions, making it more suitable for less dynamically demanding vehicles.
On the other hand, the Continental PremiumContact 6, manufactured in Slovakia, Germany and the Czech Republic, shines in dry conditions with short braking distances and stable handling. Ranking 1st in the AutoBild test, it also boasts of a good price-to-value ratio and fuel-efficient rolling resistance. Notable shortcomings include slowed steering response and extended braking distance on wet surfaces.
