The comparison between the Michelin Primacy 4+ and the Continental PremiumContact 7 tyres brings out their strength and weaknesses based on multiple tests from various platforms. Both these tyres contribute to the summer product line of their respective manufacturers, Michelin and Continental.
The Michelin Primacy 4+, an improvement from the Michelin Primacy 4 and Michelin Primacy 3, ranks 5th out of 55 in the Autobild test, with its unique features being comfort, exterior noise and dry handling. While in ACE's and Vibilagare's tests it was ranking 3rd and 7th respectively, it was on 8th position in Automotorsport and 7th position at Autozeitung tests. The Continental PremiumContact 7, part of the long-standing PremiumContact family, has a strikingly better performance in comparison. This tyre took the 1st position in multiple tests including Autobild, Vibilagare, ACE, and Automotorsport. It is particularly notable for its aquaplaning resistance, wet/dry braking, handling, and rolling resistance. This tyre is rated at 99% on our ratings chart and reflects superior wet and dry performance. As of now, Continental has not released a successor to this model.
Overall, in terms of test positions, the Continental Premiumcontact 7 ranks higher.
